We had a winter storm recently which brought back memories of a remarkable day back in January 2013. Now that was stormy....and beautiful watching from a distance!

This rather large fellow is a New Zealand pigeon, endemic to our homeland and certainly one of the more beautiful 'pigeon' named birds roaming the planet (think European pigeons...). He loves fruit, but will hopefully stay away from our crop! 

Nelson Markets has now been operating over 30 years at Montgomery Square in the Nelson town center, and is still as popular as the 80s! If you're in the region, experience delicious seasonal and organic produce, locally grown fruit and vege, cheeses, breads, fish, meat...the list goes on. It's not just food though, as Nelson is a national icon in the arts - jewellery, wall art, pottery, craft and mosiacs.
